Copier World

All about copiers.

Is copier leasing the right choice for you?

Do you know that sales of more than 1.5 million copiers per year equals out to twenty-four billion dollars revenue? A market this competitive is constantly causing copier manufacturers to offer even better products to the consumer. Considering that copier prices start at five thousand dollars for a simple copier and go all the way up to forty thousand dollars for the absolute best copier on the market, you start to see the sense of copier leasing versus an outright purchase. The main advantage of a lease is that you are not paying for the copier all at once. The rapid technological advances also make copier leasing more attractive, allowing you to upgrade to stay competitive. Most leases also allow you to end the lease if your financial situation changes either way. Beware, you will be charged for each and every copy you make. Monthly minimums on the number of copies allowed are standard. Go over or under that amount and you will be charged extra.

Service Agreements Another thing you might be grateful for is the fact that repairs, machine parts and the labor involved are covered under you lease. You really need to be certain about what components are covered under the “parts” clause and what is not covered. Not knowing what is and is not covered will definitely cost you money!

Emergency repairs Something else that you need to find out about is if repair costs are covered in your lease. If you lease specifies that you will be paying for emergency repairs at the time of the service call, make sure that you know what you are paying. Getting a written estimate on response time, with the service department’s regular hours is also very wise, especially for those emergency night and/or weekend calls.
