Buying Copiers

When you stop to think about all of the different models and styles of copiers that are available to the consumer; it does not surprise me (nor should it surprise you) that you really, really need to do your research when it comes to buying copiers. There is no doubt that most salespeople will do their very best to get you to buy their chosen product. You really need to consider all the options that are available and consider the price as well. After all is said and done you really need to be comfortable with your copier, because you are going to be using it a lot!

No doubt about it, the multi-function copier is here to stay! However, you need to think about whether or not you really need an office machine that is a combination of a printer/scanner/copier with or without the fax capability. Do you really need all those options? You also might be thinking that the most up-to-date models will have all of those features that you do not need. Rest assured fellow shopper, you will be able to find the exact machine that you are looking for when you are buying copiers.

There is one very good way to know that you are getting the right machine for your business; and that is to sit down with everyone who is going to be using the copier and discuss exactly what you all need that machine to be able to do. If you do this first; then do a little research on the Internet, you cannot go wrong when you are buying copiers. If you really think about it, most – if not all- copiers made today are designed with multi-function integration in mind. Hey, why not, this is the current technological wave; and it is not going anywhere.

Does your company do large charts and presentation boards as your mainstay of business? Then you would be very wise to buy a wide format color printer/copier that allows you to use all types and sizes of paper, from regular 8 1 inches by 11 inches to heavyweight cardstock paper to transparencies. Whether you end up buying a low or a medium or a high volume printer/copier all depend upon how many prints and/or copies that you will be making each month. You might also want to take advantage of the duplexing feature which allows you to copy and/or print on both sides of the paper. Nowadays, there is not a business around that does not have a photocopier as part of the office’s furniture. Considering how much you will end up spending when buying copiers for your business, it would be very wise to do as much research as you possibly can into the copier model that you are going to buy. This will eliminate any possibility of purchasing a machine that is either too expensive or completely unsuited to your needs.
